What You Will Do

At Rosov Consulting, we help our client-partners answer questions like:

  • What are the most pressing needs and challenges in our local community?
  • Where should we focus our philanthropic investments to achieve the highest impact?
  • How can we measure and evaluate our effectiveness—as a program provider or a foundation?
  • How and how well is our program or organization at achieving its outcomes?
  • How can we implement our strategy more successfully?

Working collaboratively in project teams with Rosov Consulting colleagues, you will:

  • Independently conduct, or manage small teams on, research, evaluation, and consulting projects with responsibility for project workplans, budgets, deliverables, and client relationships.

  • Contribute to larger projects as part of research teams led by senior staff.

  • Develop qualitative data gathering instruments and collect data through interviews, focus groups, and observations.

  • Conduct analyses of qualitative data.

  • Maintain data quality, accuracy, confidentiality, and security.

  • Draft and edit memoranda, reports, and slide decks for clients.

  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients.

  • Provide guidance and training to junior staff.

  • Help cultivate external relationships by occasionally writing articles and presenting at conferences or webinars.

Your work as a Senior Project Associate may also include other projects and internal tasks as needed, such as researching best practices and helping to improve our growing team through various team projects and activities.

Who You Are

You are a researcher at heart, motivated to surface and explore critical issues, ask important questions, and provide valid, reliable, actionable, and pragmatic information. You have qualitatively oriented training and experience in a social science or related discipline—for example, sociology, psychology, political science, economics, public policy, demography, education, evaluation, statistics, public/nonprofit administration, or public health. A graduate degree or relevant course work is highly preferred, and substantive relevant experience will be considered.

You bring a solid methodological toolkit and experience to the design, implementation, analysis, and reporting of qualitative data. You have substantial experience analyzing data using relevant software packages (primarily NVivo, other tools like MAXQDA/Dedoose/ATLAS.ti/R/Python would be applicable, too).

You have a strong track record as a project manager. You have experience delegating to others and motivating and mentoring people to bring out their best and to help them contribute as a team to developing client deliverables. You are adept at using software and systems to help keep projects on track, on time, and on budget (including Google Workspace, Monday.com, and Salesforce). You have substantive knowledge of the Jewish communal sector in North America and other countries, or a demonstrated desire, willingness, and cultural sensitivity to learn about it. You can sensitively navigate the diversity of people and organizations with whom we interact.

You are an outstanding communicator, able to write clearly and accessibly, to review and edit, and to speak confidently with clients. You share our company’s core values of teamwork, integrity, and problem solving. You are committed to working toward diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace and in our research.

You will work in a fast-moving environment, juggling competing priorities and deadlines with efficiency. You have good judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. You are open to giving and receiving feedback and to continuous improvement. You hold yourself to high standards and value integrity, credibility, and respect for confidentiality.

We encourage you to apply even if not all of these features apply to you—we would be happy to help you grow and develop these skills on the job.

We value teamwork, integrity, and problem solving.
